Be Unreasonable
Highly successful people are driven by the pursuit and achievement of unreasonable expectations.
They are unreasonable in what they expect from themselves, in the demands they make, and in how much of themselves that they can give.
As a result they take enormous pride in their work and become the leaders which inspire or intimidate through their actions.
The vast majority of people on the other hand settle for a small squeak of their potential because they bought into the belief that simply being reasonable is the way to go. How foolish and casualty creating that belief is.
The reasonable person adapts themselves to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adopt the world to himself. Therefore, all large, significant and lasting progress depends on the unreasonable person.
True success is achieved by the minority of people and requires an unconventional way of thinking.
Great achievements are, have been, and will always be the results of unreasonable people driven by unreasonable expectations and standards.
The only way to create big giant breakthrough results is to take the road less traveled–to set goals and plans that are unreasonable–and going for it.
Progress is made only by unreasonable men and women, so take the 100 Day Challenge and dare to be unreasonable!

What a great post.
This remind me of my favorite quote
” Expect more fro yourself than what other expect”

This post embodies the Gary that I am coming to know. He is unreasonable, but in a most positive way.
I know that this work he’s doing is going to change lives and hopefully in the process create many more like him who have an unreasonable expectation for success. One that is far in excess of the norm, one that stretches our mind to dimensions it never can recover from. One that leaves us better for having come to know Gary Ryan Blair.
Thanks for a great post!

I do not expect perfection – but I will not accept less.

the road less traveled though unconventional to logic yet is the womb to greatness

Hi Gary,
Hope you don’t mind my butting in. I’ve written a whole book about this and after all this time, I’ve realized this: Unreasonable people set their sites on goals other feel are, well, unreasonable.
Maybe just plain crazy. Then, they start moving – hoping for a breakthough – by putting one foot in front of the other – never quitting.
So here’s my new formula: ER = UT + UCR + 1SaaT
Extraordinary Results comes from Unreasonable Thinking, backed by an Unreasonable Commitment to Results + One Step at a Time.
