Muhammad Yunus is the recipient of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for his work pioneering the concept of microcredit - lending money to people so poor no one else would even consider them for a loan. Through the years, Yunus has lent five-point-six million dollars to more than 7 million people averaging about $130 per loan.
