One thing we all have in common is that we all love a challenge!

For some it could be a goal that puts you to the test, an obstacle that says you can’t beat me, a belief system that is begging for a breakthrough, or even a mountain that just dares you to climb it.

Whatever it is, you’re attitude should be BRING IT ON, as there’s nothing quite like a good old fashioned challenge to see what you’re made of, to push the boundaries and tests your limits as it is ONLY when we overcome these trials that we get to reap the sweetest rewards.

During the past few years, I have been working on what I believe to be the most comprehensive approach to goal setting and performance enhancement.

The 100 Day Challenge is a structured 14-week performance improvement program where challengers compete against themselves to achieve a number of challenging goals in just 100 days.

You and other competitors from around the world will be provided with a performance plan, a disciplined implementation process, daily measurement systems, and a very unique accountability tool along with specific tactics and strategies to attain your goals.

Highly successful people are driven by the pursuit and achievement of unreasonable expectations.

They are unreasonable in what they expect from themselves, in the demands they make, and in how much of themselves that they can give.

As a result they take enormous pride in their work and become the leaders which inspire or intimidate through their actions.

The vast majority of people on the other hand settle for a small squeak of their potential because they bought into the belief that simply being reasonable is the way to go. How foolish and casualty creating that belief is.

The reasonable person adapts themselves to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adopt the world to himself. Therefore, all large, significant and lasting progress depends on the unreasonable person.

True success is achieved by the minority of people and requires an unconventional way of thinking.

Great achievements are, have been, and will always be the results of unreasonable people driven by unreasonable expectations and standards.

The only way to create big giant breakthrough results is to take the road less traveled–to set goals and plans that are unreasonable–and going for it.

Progress is made only by unreasonable men and women, so take the 100 Day Challenge and dare to be unreasonable!

What To Do Now? Go to the 100 Day Challenge and remember to Comment and Share your feedback with friends and colleagues.

Practice what you preach; do as you say, walk the talk, and actions speak louder than words are all derivatives of what I believe are the three most important words in your life “behavior never lies!”

Who you really are is defined by your behavior, not your words.

When a person’s words and behaviors are not in sync, the result is fraud, hypocritical behavior.

The disconnect between what people say versus what they actually do steals trust, sends mixed messages, distorts reality, undermines clear communication, and creates doubt.

It negatively impacts all parties, the giver and receiver. The challenge we all face is to balance the spoken word with our actions.

I can tell you this with complete confidence, that by examining your behavior and results, I can see a clear picture of your commitment, I can gain an innate sense of your character, I can grasp a near perfect understanding of your beliefs, and I can most certainly see what you are really made of.

Your behavior is a reflection of what you believe to be true about yourself. Your behavior tells me how you think, your behavior tells me how you talk about yourself even when no one’s around, and your behavior tells me what you do every single day.

To learn how to walk your talk and to ensure that you learn the behavior and habit patterns of highly successful, check out the 100 Day Challenge.

Define your goals to be specific.

Because establishing goals is so important, you should put a great deal of time and mental effort into the process.

The more specific your vision, the more likely you are to organize yourself around it.

For example if your goal is to “increase business”, you have NOTHING on which to develop an organizational strategy.

The statement is too vague, and the time frame open-ended.

If however you say, “I want to increase my personal contribution to revenues by 30 percent in the next 18 months”, then you have begun to shape your vision. You have defined clear goals and set the time frame.

The goal is still a bit fuzzy, though, you can do better. What elements of revenue are within your control?

Once you answer this question you can hone your vision even further.

The end result should be like; “MY goal is to close three of the ten prospects I am working on in order to increase my contribution to company revenues by 30 percent in the next 18 months.”

Now you have something to sink your teeth into. You have set the goal, clearly defined the vision, and established a reasonable time frame and end result.

From this point on you can break your goal into manageable bites, focusing on each step needed to close the three deals.

The process becomes easy because the goal and vision is specific.

Only implementation does!" width="580" height="140" />
Goals never fail. Only implementation does!

A flawed premise of success is that the goal is the most important ingredient in the stew of success, and that you win or lose based on the merits or worthiness of the goal. How wrong and casualty-creating that premise is as the best goal or most honorable intention cannot survive poor execution.

Goals never fail. Only implementation does!

Unless you execute properly and remain focused until completion, the goal and that means ANY goal is irrelevant. My observation over time is that success is 10 percent vision, or what some might call goal clarity, and 90 percent execution.

In this post, I wanted to offer some thoughts on why execution is the key to greatness, define what good execution is, and describe how you can execute well and get good at it.

The difference between those who have goals and plans but don’t succeed and those that do succeed is simple.

Those that succeed are able to execute well and follow through until completion.

What is good execution?

Good execution is all about making good decisions and making things happen. It’s about reacting well to unpleasant and unexpected events.

Execute until the goal is achieved.

It’s about building capabilities into your life and business, the capability to be efficient and effective in respect to those factors that are critical to your success. It’s about FedEx making sure that the package really does arrive the next day.

How does one execute well and get good at it? You must focus time and resources on the core activities necessary for achievement.

There are always more tasks to do than there are time and resources available to do them, therefore go for the high-impact activities.

You must hold yourself accountable for deadlines and adjust tasks accordingly. Slipping deadlines are a symptom of poor execution and a lack of discipline. Set realistic deadlines, monitor your progress, and make timely decisions to meet your deadlines. You must execute or die!

The success you enjoy depends upon many things, but mostly it depends on you and your ability to execute until the goal is achieved!
