For Hustlers Only – Part 1

“Hustle always beats talent when talent doesn’t hustle.” – Gary Ryan Blair

This post is about hustle so let’s get after it…

Without apology or sugarcoating…most people have an aversion to hard work and have turned procrastination into an art form.

They are as slow as molasses, and spend way too much time looking for quick and easy ways of doing things…productivity hacks and shortcuts.

It’s for that reason why I want you to burn this reality into your mind…

…the best shortcut for fast tracking your goals, for going from flabby to fit, for going from broke to rich…and for achieving anything worthwhile to is to deploy a strong, aggressive, unrelenting offense, one fueled by a disciplined work ethic and good old-fashioned hustle.

There is no exception to that rule…however far too many people continue to chase that elusive silver bullet…the new shiny object. The one that promises a quick and easy fix.

There’s a word for these people—SUCKERS.

Hustle is one of those skills sets that every one of us (including your kids) needs to master for the simple reason that hustle always beat talent when talent doesn’t hustle.

That’s a point worth repeating in capital letters…

HUSTLE ALWAYS BEATS TALENT WHEN TALENT DOESN’T HUSTLE.

When will your big breakthrough come, how will that opportunity be seized, how will your finest hour arrive?

Do you honestly believe that it will materialize out of thin air, that money will fall from the sky, that the best-selling book will somehow write itself…or that the successful business and website will get started all on their own?

For you to truly unleash your greatness and to consider your life a success, you must seek out and rise to the great challenges you thrust upon yourself, and then you must hustle your buns off in order to make it happen. There is no other way!

THE ULTIMATE HUSTLE

The ultimate hustle is to turn nothing into something. To take an idea, a hunch…nothing more than vapor and somehow miraculously transform it into a tangible outcome.

That’s what I specialize in, and that’s why I love goal setting so much…as the process itself is truly magical.

So, what have you done lately to demonstrate hustle?

How have you put that hustle muscle of yours to good use?

These questions ask you to demonstrate that you can recognize what tasks need to be completed, when those tasks need to be completed, and how those tasks are going to be completed.

Your answer and behavior demonstrate your ability to think outside the square, display a passion for work…and get out there to make it happen.

Good things come to those who hustle…who work hard…who pay the price and who initiate progress.

And if you’re ready to put that hustle muscle into play in a big way, then you’re they type of person who the 100 Day Challenge was created for….it’s 100 days of pure hustle, iron discipline, intense commitment and insane execution…followed by profound results.

Perhaps it’s time our paths have crossed…as I’d love to show you how to hustle your way to getting more done in the next 100 days than most people do over the course of ten years.

Procrastination is a disturbing and debilitating character trait as it is an unvoiced threat to goal attainment…the very antithesis of hustle.

While things may come to those who wait…it will ONLY be the table scraps left by those who hustle, and in part 2 of this 3 part series I’ll explain the importance of a hearty appetite for hard work and deploying a strong relentless offense.

In closing, you must always remember that while others might be taller, better looking and maybe even more talented…that hustle will always beat talent, when talent doesn’t hustle.

Everything Counts!
