“Just like first impressions, you only get one chance to do things right the first time.”

– Gary Ryan Blair

THIS LESSON EXISTS to answer one question: Why is it important to do things right the first time?

To get to the answer, I’d like to introduce you to the real secret of success: Choose Your Suffering!

Everything you want in life, every goal you want to achieve, every opportunity you want to seize, all comes with a price tag.

Legitimate success in any endeavor is earned the old-fashioned way…by paying upfront, in full and with your own blood, sweat and tears.

To achieve any goal, to deliver consistently excellent results, to claim premium prices, to build a 100% referral based business, and to enjoy the benefits of a stellar reputation…you must choose to suffer the costs of DOING THINGS RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.

Once that decision is made, it must then become a consistent and permanent part of your professional portfolio.

Why?

Because the moment you choose not to continue to pay the price of success, and not continue to suffer the costs of doing things right the first time is the PRECISE MOMENT you begin to suffer the consequences of neglect, poor decision making and failure…which is the worst kind of suffering.

The suffering cost of failure…will ALWAYS be higher than the suffering price of success.

By not practicing the fine art of doing things right the first time, you will suffer the loss of reputation, you will suffer the loss of future opportunities, and you will suffer the costs of regret due to short-term thinking along with other forms of real and lasting pain.

There is no exception to this rule…You Must Choose Your Suffering.

You are either going to suffer the costs of failure or you are going to suffer the costs of success.

So, why don’t more people and organizations get the message that doing things right the first time is the calling card of greatness, and is a far better option than circling the drain of mediocrity?

Why do we continue to hear horror stories about projects gone bad,  schedules over-run, and budgets over-spent?

The answer is embarrassingly simple…

It takes better planning right now, it takes greater pride and character right now, it takes unwavering commitment right now, and it requires superior execution right now.

The truth is…it takes less than a second to raise your standards…you must merely decide to make your name synonymous with excellence and superior execution. But it takes a lifetime of passionate pursuit to maintain it.

The suffering price of success is often more than people are willing to pay, but it’s not more than they are capable of paying.

By practicing the fine art of doing things right the first time, you will suffer the costs of integrity, you will suffer the costs of quality by sweating the small stuff, and you will suffer the costs of going the extra mile.

As a result of choosing to suffer the costs of success by doing things right the first time, you will take great pride in your work, you will build an reputation that precedes you, you will enjoy ever increasing abundance of money and other forms of prosperity…and you will have created an indispensable competitive advantage that’s impossible to beat.

I’ve saved the best part for last…committing to quality and doing things right the first time means never having to say you’re sorry.

That’s why you’re going to love…

Everything Counts!
