In Part 1 of Exponential Growth, we discussed how the effective use of force multipliers can immediately and dramatically decrease the amount of time it takes ANYONE to achieve their goals…regardless of size.
Our focus will now shift to the importance of leveraging one’s psychology, growth hacking and the awesome power of advanced technologies and communications.
As someone who repeatedly, consistently, and quite routinely works with people and organizations who accelerate from standing starts to giant accomplishments, “achieving goals fast and driving exponential growth” is my reality.
I have come to the understanding that you cannot change your behavior nor experience exponential growth, until and unless you change your beliefs…and that the most important element in your strategy to win the battle for your mind and productivity is your own psychology.
The truth of the matter is this…you have no legal, logical or moral obligation or, for that matter any justifiable reason to settle for small, marginal or incremental growth…and that the quickest way to the mountaintop and accelerating your productivity is not by fighting your way through the pack…it is to leapfrog over the pack by deploying superior execution strategies.
And, that’s what you really want…isn’t it?
So how do you do it…how do you accelerate your rate of success and experience exponential growth?
How do you multiply your performance, dramatically exceed your best expectations, and achieve goals on a pace and scale that in the past seemed impossible?
I believe that if you’re going to work hard to achieve a goal, then it’s your right and responsibility to find the fastest way to get it done.
It’s for that reason as to why we need to focus on the adverse questions first…such as, why do most people and organizations settle for small, marginal and incremental growth?
Why are most people and organizations still operating on old outdated beliefs that produce little in the way of results?
There’s no denying the fact that newer technologies and communications are disrupting, multiplying and revolutionizing our capabilities as a civilization, and yet we still accept the performance limiting notion that it should take a long time to achieve our goals.
Most people and organizations are hypnotized with the belief that important societal progress, like combating crime, inequality and homelessness — or even innovating in government, law, education and medicine — must take generations.
These beliefs are false and only serve to undermine growth and reinforce the status quo.
Your mindset for the moment may be flawed by doubt and skepticism. I get it.
The idea of exponential growth, of making quantum leaps in your performance, jumping from your present level of achievement to one several stages higher is an alien idea.
You have not been trained to think that way…and you may very well have definite reservations about the possibility that you can make such exponential improvement at all…much less in a greatly abbreviated time frame.
However, I assure you that your doubts and skepticism are rooted in mental limitation.
Your doubts are NOT the product of accurate thinking but habitual thinking.
That’s why I began this message by stating that you cannot change your behavior nor experience exponential growth, until and unless you change your beliefs…and that the most important element in your strategy to win the battle for your mind and productivity is your own psychology.
Despite leaps in what we can do, most of us still follow comfortable, pre-prescribed paths. We work hard but hardly question whether we’re working smart.
On the other hand, some people and organizations manage to build Priceline and Ebay and others achieve big, epic goals faster than a speeding bullet.
WHY NOT YOU?
Pick any era in history and you’ll find a handful of people who refuse to think and act like the masses, who buck the system, who question every conventional belief and as a result wind up doing extraordinary things in an implausibly short amount of time.
Don’t you want a piece of that action?
Exponential growth requires the vigorous employment of new and better behaviors.
This type of quantum leap type growth demands paradoxical behavior, highly unusual moves and superior execution strategies that on the surface fly in the face of conventional thinking.
The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior, and as human beings we usually go with the obvious, comfortable move.
We easily fall into the habit of relying on behaviors that seem to have worked best for us over the years. We don’t easily surrender a habit pattern, especially when it appears to be a well functioning one. We resist new ideas and maneuvers because they make us feel clumsy, awkward, and more at risk. We have a strong tendency to become overly-dependent on strategies and the tactics they involve.
But if you want to enjoy the abundant fruits that only exponential growth can deliver, than you must be willing to break out of your routines and mindset.
I assure you that the fastest way to success and exponential growth is not the old-fashioned traditional way, and that the beliefs and execution strategies you have grown up with can and must be hacked.
It’s time for your beliefs and behaviors to evolve…for the leopard to change a few spots…for you to start enjoying exponential growth.
My advice at this moment is that if you want to be skeptical of some ideas that truly deserve to be called into question, challenge the thoughts and beliefs that have argued against your taking big, bold and audacious moves.
Challenge your current execution strategies and seriously begin to question why you’re not currently experience 10x, 100x, 1000x or even 10,000x growth.
Because UNLESS you begin to have these conversations….you will never experience this kind of growth.
Doubt is the enemy of hope; it does the majority of damage. Therefore, don’t give it any mental space.
From the moment you begin the 100 Day Challenge…I encourage you to proceed boldly…to act as if it is completely inconceivable that you will experience anything other than a series of leapfrogging experiences.
And, if you still feel like doubting something, doubt your self-imposed limits…because you’re here to unleash your greatness, to make a mark on the world, to experience exponential growth…and it would be my honor to show you how.
