Knowing and Doing

Knowing vs. Doing

IN JUST A FEW DAYS, you will be at the half-way point of the year.

This is an excellent time to reflect on your year to date performance, and if necessary, make some immediate course corrections.

Because…on a global scale, there is a chronic disconnect between KNOWING AND DOING (intentions and results), as the goals that companies and individuals set for themselves often bare little resemblance to the results that they actually achieve.

To shine a bright light on this point, I’d like you to consider the goals you set at the beginning of the year.

The real essence of truth, of who you really are is not to be found in what you believe, say or even know intellectually…but by what you actually do.

Allow me to expose the hypocrisy…by exposing the gap between knowing and doing.

We all know that eating a healthy diet is the right call to make, yet too many of us choose to eat poorly.

We all know that regular exercise is the best thing we can do for our bodies, however a good number of us do not even make time for a walk.

We all know that we should save more than we spend, but the debt held by far too many people, companies and even governments provides proof of a lack of understanding.

We all know that continued learning is the smartest thing we can do for our careers, however most do not even crack open a book after they leave college.

We all know that commitments are meant to be honored, yet when faced with difficulty…resolve quickly heads for the door.

We all know that our attitude determines our altitude, but so many people choose to be sarcastic, pessimistic and apathetic.

We all know that going the extra mile for our clients is the right thing to do, however most refuse to do what they know is right for the people responsible for paying their wages.

We all know the importance of discipline, personal responsibility and pulling our own weight, yet too many act as if those things are beneath them.

Confucius was absolutely right when he said over 2000 years ago…”To know, and not to do, is still not to know.”

That’s why perhaps the greatest challenge we will ever face in our lifetime is to close the gap between knowing and doing.

IF you have not made as much progress as you’d like in the first half of the year…if you have not been DOING what you know you should be doing in order to achieve the goals you set back in January…I can help.

Download Unleash Your Greatness and I’ll show you how to quickly make up for lost time and CRUSH YOUR 3RD QUARTER GOALS.

As you reflect on your performance for the first half of the year, remember that the faster you close the gap between knowing and doing…the more deliberate you are in talking massive action…the sooner you live in harmony rather than hypocrisy.

Everything Counts!
